Holly Hunter is a well-known American actor, producer, and director. She's been honored for her roles in films like Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles and The Incredibles. The film Piano has won several awards for her which included an Oscar. The accomplished actress started her career as an actor on the stage in various Broadway and Off-Broadway shows. It has been an integral part of her interest. In the fifth grade she portrayed Helen Keller. Mumps caused her to be blind and deaf on one ear. However, she did not allow this hinder her from becoming an actress. She was a drama major at the college, and then moved to Pittsburgh to New York City to follow her passions. Hunter made her Broadway debut after a chance meeting with Beth Henley, a playwright. Both of them collaborated for Broadway Crimes of the Heart. When she moved to Los Angeles she tried to get film roles and bagged the role of a co-star for the role of a supporting character in Swing Shift. She has appeared in countless films, TV series and films over the course of her career. Holly Hunter has a Hollywood Walk of Fame actress and won Women in Film Lucy Award.
